Rainbow reduces shipping costs with Shipping and Manifesting software

Client:  Rainbow USA Inc. is one of the fastest growing junior, kids, plus, and petite specialty apparel chains, with over 1,100 stores across the nation and adding 60 new stores per year on average.

Challenge:  To accommodate rapid growth, Rainbow planned to expand to an adjacent facility and was looking for a turnkey solution to control their new conveyor system and help reduce shipping costs.

Solution:  AL Systems provided a solution comprised of DynaTrack Conveyor and Sortation System Control and DynaShip Shipping and Manifesting software integrated with both in-motion and static weigh scales. The solution seamlessly integrated with FedEx to complete all necessary rating and EDI tasks. In addition, DynaTrack controlled the newly installed conveyor system for tracking and sortation to both the FedEx Hub centers and LTL carriers.

Results:  The solution enables Rainbow to complete store cartons while transmitting content and destination information to DynaShip in real-time as the cartons travel from packing to shipping.  They now deliver over 20,000 cartons a day and shipping costs have reduced significantly.
